Greetings everyone....I have finally decided to sell my vintage Altec 604C co-axial 15 inch driver. I only have one, and it was earmarked to become the centerpiece of a vintage mono system for which I have been collecting bits and pieces for few years. I recently was able to get a set of NOS vintage JBL drivers for a Hartsfield system, including the 075 tweeter. I want to mount these in an Altec Voice of the Theater type enclosure instead of the complex JBL type, and need to sell this beautiful 604 to fund the building of the enclosure that will finally complete my vintage mono system. I'll have to take pictures this weekend, and get them posted to photobucket, then will re-post the link here for all to see. This driver is in nice shape, original cone, working condition, ready to use or place on display shelf. I'm asking $675 for this driver, plus shipping costs. For shipping, it will be bolted to a wood panel to protect the cone/horn and well boxed to protect the rest of it. I can ship anywhere in the normally accessible free world that is served by DHL International. I am in the Portland Oregon area so if any of you are in the NW area and want to pick it up in person that is OK too. Please note that this sale is in NO WAY related to our audio business, JENA LABS..... This is a personal item from our personal collection that I am personally selling. I can be reached by email at <e-mail(at)jenalabs.com> .....remove (at) and insert @ to make the email address work. If needed we can process a credit card for the purchase, and also we accept PayPal. Please email for phone info if you would like to chat.....
Please let me know if your interested in this superb example of one of Altec's best....

I am a long time member here, probably from close to when the group started. I have all this stuff that is collecting dust and can best be appreciated by the Altec fans here. Nothing will go on Epay until Feb, so you have a long time to think about things. I believe my prices are more than fair. Send me an email at r-o-n-a-l-d.s-e-l-b-e-r-g at comcast.net. I will send you photos of the item. I will ship small things, I won't ship large items. The process will be slow. I am employed, and only have weekends to do any shipping. Buyer pays all shipping. I will split the pay pal fees. I am in Portland Oregon. This will be a long post.

do you have a pair of 420s still? the POS crown D150 i bought. recently toasted my new favorite of speakers last nite.![]()

seriously, if anyone has a pair of 420s i can pay up to 285$ for them. i built a pair of of cabs, got them tuned in almost perfect, thought i'd try a crown d150 i had. listened to a bob marley album thinking about how realistic and rich it sounded. when the CD ended so did my 420As. a pop sizzle and smoke. i still haven't decided whether i'm going to put the amp on ebay for parts or take it out to the field and see what 100 rounds will do to it
Sonic Barbarian
Sorry man. My Santana's are keepers.
I vote for putting 100 rounds in the Crown
